A few new books for An Encyclopedia of Everything

See:
Untitled but Something to do with Time and Colour - Aleatory verse by Cheryl Penn
Untitled chap. It is very good,Blackbirdean. I want to make a 2 page (*-1/2x11) excerpt from it for Blackbird that would include title, first page ("the moments..."),page with "Would you like to hear my initial reports?...",page with "He was manipulating..."
and the ending; page with "THE GREY..." and "Wry...".

It is surprising to follow the turn of the poetic-the title suggests tackling a very ambitious subject (physics)..."something to do with..." takes the humanistic turn away from what I expected and it lands deep in Blackbird territory!

SAY WHAT (2)?? - John Bennett (USA)/Cheryl Penn (South Africa) - an AMAZING version of SAY WHAT (1) was done by John (Luna Bisonte Productions).

Jo-Anne Southorn (Australia) - Guardian Angel and The Moth - 2 beautiful accordion books hand printed, with poetry.

Great Expectations - David Stone (USA)/Cheryl Penn (South Africa)  - prose poetry/aleatory verse - a free-flow as always.  As David say - we ride the sang language wave.

Bhubezi Women - The Women Who Hold Up the World

Artists book in the making - large version of The Chronicles of Lyrehc - which  by the by surfaced unexpectedly on Sunday through a contact. These are the beginning pages which document the women.

Demonstrating

I have found it far more useful to demonstrate as a teaching tool than gesticulate and explain.  The students paint with me - they have to keep up as they have an hour in which to complete each painting. (Please bear in mind they are done in about 45 minutes as I still talk and walk while demonstrating!)  Size  60cm x 80cm and these were done on the back of each other.  They are to be cut up and become the basis for a book Back to Back.  Of COURSE I painted Lempika and van Gogh as first port of call.
